Ferrule crimper for hose repairs
No Image Available
The best way to repair a broken garden or air hose is the way the factory did it - using a ferrule and a crimper. Ferrules come in all sizes to suit the particular hose, but they need to be crimped with a special crimper. This crimper will crimp any size ferrule using an appropriate die. The kit includes the Large Diameter Hose Crimper (LDHC), which currently comes with LDHC-22 (for 3/8 in air) and LDHC-28 and LDHC-30 dies for 5/8 in garden hoses, but more dies can be bought if needed. It also includes the small hose crimping tool, for hoses under about 0.625 inch. How-to instructions can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ty-03Db6Wjg starting at the 3:45 point.
